Fishing Tips Beginners

Coarse Fishing Tips ??
Hello people
I am a beginner fisherman and have been fishing many times before
but recently when iv been fishing iv not been catching anything! maybe iv’e just rusted up a little !!
Maybe you fishermen can give me some tips on what to do !?
Anyway im going fishing tomorrow with my friend and will be using 6 lb line float fishing ! can someone help me and give me tips on what to do and use to catch some fish! i dont care if it pearch , roach or even a carp i just wana catch some fish!!!!
Help me please!!
Time of day isn’t always relevant for some species.
I would reccomend using as light a line as possible and a finely balanced float rig. For small roach and perch use a 2lb hooklength and size 20 hook with a single maggot for bait. Shot your float so that it sits in the water nicely and about 4-5mm of the tip is showing.
DO NOT forget to keep feeding your swim, put a couple of balls of groundbait at the start of your session along with some hemp seed and maggots. Keep topping up every 5 – 10 mins or so with a small amount to keep the fish interested.
Make sure that you plumb the depth of your swim and have your hook just resting on the bottom of the pond.
