bass fishing tips cold water
lake san antonio, monterey county, california?

has anyone fished here within the last couple weeks?
l’m planning a trip there in another week or two for a few days.
l am thinking of the harris creek area or the upper end of the lake.
l fish mostly bass but would like to find some good crappie.
l am hoping to get some use out of my float tube. l prefer not to use waders but is the water still too cold for shorts?
how is the water level right now? how far down from the high water mark?
l don’t have anything against the other side of the lake but am absolutely unfamiliar with it.
how about winds? any wind protected area? l WILL be in my float tube.

MANY, many thanks for any potential tips and recommendations.

you care to join us (me ‘n’ GMB)? email me.
thanks for the links, D.
l checked ‘em out and signed up on them. l appreciate your input.

but l would still like another couple responses. no one else fishes san antonio?

best answer going once…
going twice…

and BA goes to…

I have, with a friend.

I’m not sure about the water coldness, i haven’t gone in the water.

It’s pretty much normal level i would say. I can’t really tell how down it is from the high water mark. Not very high.

Winds, didn’t have much trouble with that.

I’m no longer in Cali. I wish i could Join!

I found this map/site VERY useful. I used this on my iPhone. I would say if you have a iPhone, or something with a wide-screen view internet browser, even your computer if you have a Internet Service adapter, like verizon..

Good luck.

P.S looks like a lot of people are getting luck.
